Calling women small business owners! Join Sister Sprout and the Velocity Center of Sterling Heights for a 6-week business plan builder cohort series designed to support you in completing your business plan and launching your startup ideas. Early-stage entrepreneurs will be guided through all 12 common business plan sections, as women founders clarify their ideas, follow their passions, and launch their business dreams. Join the Sister Sprout business plan incubator experience that early-stage female founders through completing each section of their business plan roadmap.

- What common sections go into your business plan
- How to clarify and communicate your business ideas
- When to launch your startup to the world
Thursdays From 6pm – 8pm | April 18th – May 23rd
Cohort participants can expect to complete all 12 business plan builder workshop sections:
- April 18th – WEEK 1 – Dream Builder & Product Builder
- April 25th – WEEK 2 – Tribe Builder & Brand Builder
- May 2nd – WEEK 3 – Promo Builder & Impact Builder
- May 9th – WEEK 4 – Team Builder & Home Builder
- May 16th – WEEK 5 – Bizzy Builder & Money Builder
- May 23rd – WEEK 6 – Launch Builder & Future Builder
- All participating businesses will have the opportunity for one-on-one coaching time with subject matter experts and business influencers in Macomb County and Southeast, Michigan.
- Participants will receive a “Business Builder In-A-Box” containing bootcamp materials such as 3-ring binder with worksheets for all 12 business plan sections; flashcards and learning aids; positivity gifts and more!
- Graduates may have the opportunity to receive prizes and completion incentives such as: $1,000 business plan completion grant; coaching time with business experts such as web developers, graphic designers, financial assistants, and lawyers; opportunity to pitch for follow-on funding.
This program is funded through the Michigan Small Businesses Supports Hubs Grant and is intended to support Macomb County residents or current Macomb County businesses; and underserved demographics such as women, minorities, LGBT+, and veterans.
We are currently accepting applications until 11:59PM on APRIL 11th, 2024.
The Velocity and Sister Sprout team will review applications and will contact those selected for a brief interview, as applications are received. Finalists selected to for a seat in the bootcamp experience will be notified to reserve their spot.

Sister Sprout bootcamps, a business plan incubator experience that guides women founders through completing each section of their business plan roadmap.
Sister Sprout is partnering with the Velocity Center of Sterling Heights to provide a series of business plan builder bootcamp classes to support aspiring entrepreneurs and small businesses in the completion of their 12-step business plan. With the support from the Michigan Small Business Support Hubs Grant, the bootcamp cohort is open to qualified Macomb County-based women business owners and residents.
Registration is currently open for the 6-week Business Plan Bootcamp cohort series for Macomb County-based women founders. SPACE IS LIMITED! Acceptance is on a first-come first-served basis.
Business Plan Bootcamp, Thursdays 6-8pm at Velocity Sterling Heights
Our core 6-week business planning bootcamp is designed for aspiring and established entrepreneurs. Workshops are faciliated by local experts and cover all the basics of starting a business – from licensing to financial literacy, market research to cash flow and more. You’ll leave the class with a completed business plan, a cohort of fellow entrepreneurs in Macomb County and Southeast, Michigan, and the knowledge and confidence to take your idea to the next level.
